TWO DAY WORKSHOP (MONDAY/TUESDAY).
MATERIAL COST $40.00
The material cost for this kit is leather only.
Workshop skill level
You must have some knowledge of using a swivel knife and basic steps of tooling.
The workshop has the option to make either an IPad or a notebook cover.
The workshop will commence with a discussion on the critical dimensions to allow the item to function properly.
After laying the dimensions and cutting the leather to size, the student will use a predesigned Sheridan Style pattern to carve and tool the front cover.
All aspects of tooling will be covered at the beginning of class for those that haven’t tooled a whole lot, yet it would be good to have some tooling experience.
During Barry’s demonstration, you will pick up several tips and tricks for carving and tooling this project and for other future items.
Some items, for example, magnetic closure and chicago screws, can be purchased from the tutor (these items are not included in the material kit cost).
The project may not be completely finished during the two day workshop, you will have detailed information from Barry on how to finish the cover.
